Adapt2Digital launches innovative solution to help businesses tackle ongoing digital change

New start-up Adapt2Digital today launched its simple to use software platform which helps businesses of all sizes monitor and track their digital readiness and effectiveness.
Developed in partnership with public sector member organisation Socitm (Society of Information Technology Management), the platform conducts a digital inventory of a business, rating its digital readiness on a five point scale.
Speaking at the Socitm Spring Conference in London, Adapt2Digital founders Mel Ross and Stacey Perry walked attendees through the simple yet compelling solution set to shake the large consultancy model to its very foundations.
The approach is a unique three-step cycle, which begins with a comprehensive discovery tool they call a Digital Engagement Map (DEM) which identifies the digital capability and competency of the organisation.
From this, a series of Digital Improvement Pathways (DIPs) are identified and put into action, bypassing the long and arduous process that is normally associated with business process change and business digital change.
Following on from this, a period of knowledge transfer firmly embeds the approach within the business and Digital Improvement Pathways become possible throughout the entire organisation.
"We liken what’s currently happening to businesses to a vortex,” said Stacey Perry, founder and director.
“New and emerging technologies, and an ever-changing customer are moving faster towards each other, colliding and creating new and disruptive forces that are affecting businesses more and more.
"Businesses want a solution that isn’t a big transformational change solution – they want to be able to adapt to digital in a way that works for them. Furthermore, business leaders want a solution that doesn’t rely solely on experts but one that can be implemented across the whole business to addresses things like digital literacy or organisational structure."
The first solution of its kind in the UK, Adapt2Digital has been developed in partnership with Socitm, the membership association for local and central government, private and third sector organisations.
